YAY! Vacation down in the French Quarter and New Orleans!!I got the opportunity (it was my first time..) to see the final show at The House of Shock in New Orleans. This is their final year and let me tell you, if you missed it you missed out on some of the best detail I've ever seen in a haunt.
The evening began with a "freak show" gentlemen who was driving nails, condoms and a drill up his nose as well as spinning with a brief case attached to his nipples and tongue. Next up after him was the show telling the story about the house complete with pyrotechnics and Jesus Christ on a cross. After that they opened the "flood gates", or as we like to call it in the industry a "conga line" to see the house. Oh my god I was in heaven. The detail from floor to ceiling was immaculate as well as the actors not breaking character and every inch of skin was covered in either makeup or costume.
I'm really sad to see it go, but so happy I got to experience the HELL that went on during the show.
