Telluride Horror Show / Four Corners

My sister and I drove to Telluride Colorado for the HORROR SHOW! The Telluride Horror Show takes place at the legendary Sheridan Opera House and Nugget Theatre, both located on Telluride's historic main street, and less than a block from each other.

But first, we love trying out new foods so we stopped at Blue Sky Texas in Amarillo to try out the world famous chili fries and burgers.

Driving through New Mexico was beautiful but the welcome sign should read "Welcome to New Mexico! The land of no cell phone service for the next 300 miles!"

What should've taken us an hour to drive up the mountain took us about 8 hours.  The snow was unforgiving that night driving into Telluride.  We couldn't see 2 feet in front of the car (It was mainly "I COULDN'T SEE TWO FEET" BECAUSE I WAS FREAKING OUT ABOUT FALLING OFF THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN....ahem....) but when there was breaks in the snow, the view was breath taking.  There were deer packs running across the road and the trees were beautifully blanketing the narrow two lane roads.  I can't say that I would do that drive over again, but what we saw that night will never leave my head.

Being city girls, we thought once we got into Telluride we could just order pizza at midnight for dinner since we were exhausted from the drive... this wasn't the case.  We ended up going to bed with our dinner being twizzlers and Smartfood popcorn.
It was pitch black the night we arrived, but the next morning I woke up to my sister saying "Jacque get up!!! We're in a cute little mountain town!!! Its so beautiful!!!"

On the way home, we detoured to see the FOUR CORNERS MONUMENT.

The Four Corners is a region of the United States consisting of the southwestern corner of Colorado, northwestern corner of New Mexico, northeastern corner of Arizona and southeastern corner of Utah.
